The principle

A small price for a big decision

Many decisions in IT and business quickly have an impact in the five- to six-figure range, often beyond. The assessment of an experienced expert costs only a fraction of that. It can help you avoid costly wrong decisions and is an important building block for the right decision for your company and its future.

Our approach

We have seen and experienced a lot in many projects. We share this experience with you – neutrally, honestly and with a view to what makes sense for you next. The point is not to sell you a project but to help you; regularly too, as recurring sparring if you like. We support projects only subject to availability and where it is really necessary – we check our capacity in advance.

FAQ

Expert session FAQ

How do I pay?

Via PayPal: after you have filled in the form, the PayPal button appears. When you book, PayPal only reserves the amount; it is charged only when we confirm your date. With the confirmation you receive a payment receipt, and the invoice on the day after the appointment – both by email, with nothing further to pay. If no date is agreed or we do not confirm within three days, we release the reservation in full. PayPal shows the available payment methods in its payment window.

Is it worth it for me?

Many decisions in IT and business quickly have an impact in the five- to six-figure range. An experienced, neutral assessment costs only a fraction of that and can help you avoid costly wrong decisions.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

You can cancel free of charge up to 4 hours before the start and receive the full amount back; after that, cancellation is no longer possible. Rescheduling is free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Will you try to sell me a project afterwards?

No. The expert session is a service in its own right. Whether anything follows is entirely your decision. We take on projects only subject to availability.

Can I book the session regularly?

Yes, many topics benefit from regular sparring, e.g. monthly or quarterly. Simply book a new date each time.

How does this differ from the initial meeting?

The free initial meeting (15 minutes) is for getting to know each other. The expert session is an in-depth discussion of your specific question.

Manuel Fernandez

Management Consultant | Diplom-Wirtschaftsinformatiker (FH), degree in business informatics

Over 20 years of experience where business meets technology

Manuel Fernandez has more than 20 years of experience in IT consulting and in delivering demanding technology and transformation projects.

Over the course of his career he has supported companies from various industries with strategic, organisational and technological challenges. His project experience ranges from developing enterprise-wide IT architectures and optimising business processes and IT services to designing and implementing modern cloud-based platforms.

He has taken on a variety of roles – as project manager, enterprise architect, business analyst and consultant for complex IT and transformation initiatives. This broad experience enables him to understand both the business requirements and the technical context of a project and to bring them together.

From strategic planning to hands-on delivery

A particular focus of his work is turning complex requirements into structured, actionable solutions.

To do so, he combines classic disciplines such as business analysis, enterprise architecture and project management with modern requirements engineering.

His approach thus combines well-founded consulting experience with modern technological possibilities – from the first business requirement to the validated solution.

Current focus: AI-driven product ownership & agentic software development

Steering AI-supported software development processes with a focus on product ownership, business requirements definition, feature prioritisation and quality assurance.

Based on the business requirements, AI agents systematically work out business requirements, SDD specifications and BDD acceptance scenarios, followed by the technical implementation and automated tests.

Human responsibility concentrates on product strategy, prioritisation, business steering, reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT) and the release of results.

This approach enables largely agent-supported software development with clear business accountability and systematic quality assurance.

Broad experience across industries

His career includes projects in financial services and insurance, at IT service providers, in aerospace, in transport and logistics and in retail.

His project experience includes, among other things, designing cloud-based financial services platforms, analysing extensive enterprise application landscapes and developing and optimising IT service and architecture models.

This cross-industry experience enables him to bring in different business perspectives, recognise complex relationships and transfer proven methods to new challenges.

Solid qualifications and international certifications

His expertise is complemented by a degree in business informatics (Diplom-Wirtschaftsinformatiker, FH) and 14 qualifications and certifications from various IT disciplines. The most important of these:

  • PMP® – Project Management Professional – Internationally recognised certification for professional project management.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert – Qualification for designing complex cloud architectures.
  • CISM – Certified Information Security Manager – Certification for information security management and risk governance.
  • ITIL 4 Managing Professional – Qualification in managing and developing professional IT services.

Experience that connects disciplines

Manuel Fernandez’s particular strength lies in combining different fields of expertise: business analysis, architecture, project management, IT service management, cloud technologies, information security and modern AI-supported development methods.

He thus brings together strategic understanding, methodological competence and technological experience – with the aim of turning complex requirements into clear, economical and sustainably implementable solutions.
